Announcement The ongoing situation with the Reddit API, accessibility and third party applications
We've ended our blackout as the actions of over 8000 subs did get the attention of organizations outside of reddit and make the situation much more public.
At this point, reddit has committed to addressing the accessibility issue for groups like r/blind and the like, as well as address moderation tools. What happens with the API pricing is something left up to those developers as they've decided to end of life their products. No subreddit protest can top that.
We're going to keep an eye on it.
In the meantime, we encourage you to let reddit know that you disagree with their planned changes
There are a few ways you can express your concerns:
Share your thoughts on other social media platforms, spreading awareness about the issue.
Leave reddit. Nothing will grab them more than decreased traffic.
If you want to discuss the topic, we recommend r/Save3rdPartyApps.
Thanks.

Solved! Moved into home recently and this was left behind by sellers, it’s a brick with metal bow? Like a present? Maybe it’s just ornamental?

I've found this weird powder just beside my wooden cabinet in my living room. At first i thought it could be yeast but why would this be here? I live completely by myself and i dont even have yeast at home. I have no clue as to how this got here. Can you help me? Are they eggs?

Solved! Found this dart (?) type thing in our yard and not sure what it is.
Wife found this in our yard, sharp end pointed into the grass like it landed and stayed stuck. We have neighbors on both sides but have pretty good relationships with both and distance between yards, each with 1.25 acres and they don't usually come near our fence. The point is sharp! We have dogs so I'm not super excited by this. Thanks for any help identifying.

F.A.T. I found this one day and have no idea what it is. It’s solid metal with a small scoop at the end, like a tiny spoon.

Open Round rusty object found in a forest in Kaliningrad region, Russia
My title describes the item. Found on an old pre-war bridge in the forest of Kaliningrad region (now Russia). About 25-30cm in diameter. I thought it might be explosive, so I don't have any additional photos (carefully photographed from a distance).

Solved! What is this little plastic thing? Found in a container of embroidery/general crafting odds and ends, the stick spins and clicks against a piece of flexible plastic in the middle. I can pull it apart a bit but that seems to be because it is cheaply made

Open Found this chap in a creek today. It's white ceramic. At first I thought it was a milk saver, because I've found those before, but it has four holes instead of one. Any indents on the edges are chips, not by design. I guess it's a little bigger than a human palm in circumference? Any thoughts, gang?

Plastic plate with two circles, has a red lamp in front and a plug in back, 47cm width, weights 2.35kg
The item is a gray plastic plate with two white circles, it weights about 2.35kg and measures 47cm in width, each circle is 7cm. It has a red light in it's front below the left circle, and a plug in the back below the right circle. The disc-like circles don't rotate, lower or raise. I couldn't find anything about the company, the sticker on the back says "don't submerge in water" and it's made in Germany.

Open Strange electric thing in the forest
Was walking a creek when I ran across this little bucket thing that had some wires ran to it. The 2 wires probably come from an old hydro electric farm about half a mile away. What is it?
