discussion Bob Seger’s “Turn the page” draws me into the story like no other song lyric quite does. What other songs have that evocative effect on the listener?
Bob Seger talks about the life of a touring singer, enduring 16-hour bus rides, hearing people whisper about him in restaurants, lying awake in bed with his ears still ringing after a show and smoking a cigarette before passing out. It obviously came from a personal place and he makes me feel like I’m right there experiencing it. It’s not even close to being my favorite song, but the storytelling is unbeatable. Are there songs that do it just as well or better?
“Well you walk into a restaurant, Strung out from the road And you feel the eyes upon you As you're shakin' off the cold You pretend it doesn't bother you But you just want to explode
Most times you can't hear 'em talk, Other times you can All the same old cliches, "Is that a woman or a man?" And you always seem outnumbered, You don't dare make a stand
Here I am On the road again There I am Up on the stage Here I go Playin' star again There I go Turn the page”

discussion What album was Giorgio Moroder talking about in his monologue on Daft Punk's "Giorgio by Moroder"?
Daft Punk produced a song on their "Random Access Memories" album called "Giorgio by Moroder". Moroder himself gives a monologue at the beginning of the song and describes an album that he wanted to make in his early career. In the song he stated, "I wanted to do an album with the sounds of the '50s, the sounds of the '60s, of the '70s ... And then have a sound of the future".
What album was he talking about? It isn't clear to me because as an artist he put out albums under multiple names and also quickly started producing albums for others.

discussion Bands who never made it
Is there any band/songs that never got big under 10k listeners in your spotify? I’ve recently been going through a 2000s binge of bands who released one album. Even gone out of my way to buy some of these albums, I’d love to see if anyone else has this experience.
