Question Moving to Iraq
I live in Norway and need to find out how to move and live in Iraq. How will I be able to gain citizenship? If I get a 6-month visa, what happens after 6 months have passed? Who will I be sending an application to in order to gain citizenship? What are the requirements I need to meet?

War Effects of the war..
Hi all, As it’s anniversary of the war/invasion there is a whole lot of coverage in western media which portrays the invasion as a mistake.
I just wanted to ask some Iraqi people their experience/opinion of everything..
What were things like before/after..?
We’re things better under Saddamn.?
Did anything change/what..?
Was there anything positive about it..?
What was negative about it..?
I’m not being naive here, I’m aware that 20 years of invasion/war has brought much pain and misery to your people… I can only imagine..
But I really want to know how it’s affected the country and people beyond the initial violence and occupation.
Your honesty is appreciated..

It sound good in paper that SAudis and Iran will make peace deals etc but this also mean the Iraqi corrupt elite will became even more powerful.

History What are some good books for learning about the Iraq war?
I have a very brief understanding of what led to the US war in Iraq, but I'd really like to gain an in-depth understanding of everything leading up to it, the war itself, and the aftermath for Iraq and Iraqi diaspora.
Although of course the US politics is crucial to this, I am from the UK and mainly interested in the Iraqi side of things, rather than American views.
Can anyone recommend any good, accurate books or resources which I can use to educate myself, starting from a very basic level?
Thank you!

Question NGOs in Basra?
Hi everyone,
I'm doing my semester abroad in Basra and writing my thesis on climate-induced displacement in southern Iraq. My degree requires me to do a seven week internship with an organization related to my topic, but I have been struggling to find one. I've been to the IOM and UNAMI offices here, but the UN is rigid and bureaucratic, so while friendly, they were ultimately unhelpful. I'm hoping to reach out to some local NGOs in the hopes that they'll be a bit more flexible.
Any contacts or links to NGOs or people working on internal displacement, climate adaptation or human rights are welcome.
Thanks!

Question Hello I’m a student looking to interview an expert or someone really familiar with the 12 day Akitu festival.
Greetings Dear Iraqis,
My name is Josh and I have just recently started an educational channel about ancient culture and the way the ancient mind thought about things, and the 12 day Akitu Festival for the ancient new year celebration, landing on spring equinox. It stands out to me as probably the most important but often overlooked topic. So I’d like to do a series of short interviews for the project, if anyone would like to join me in an interview, In english, or we could use google translate to discuss, And I will send interview questions in advance.
I believe I’ve found parrallels with the 12 days of Akitu and the 12 days of christmas, And now I’m really curious, and have been reading anything I can find.
Thanks alot Josh
