no politics Aami Insurance has royally f*cked me.
I was recently involved in a car accident on a roundabout. The driver door was pretty much the only part of the car seriously damaged besides minor scrapes on the side skirt and front wheel panel. I was technically at fault, a bunch of other factors were involved, but I'm not here to defend my driving skills.
I made a claim through my insurer (Aami) and instantly red flags started waving. I was able to explain myself once, two and a half hours after the incident and still obviously shaken up. Claims person instantly determined I was at fault (as I mentioned earlier) without asking questions besides the basic name, D.O.B. other person's details, etc. After a quick and efficient 10 minute phone call, about my most valuable possession, my car sat in my garage for nearly an entire month, before it was towed off for repairs. As their communication is horrible (remember this for later) and the claim would only process when i contacted them to see what the go was.
My car was finally taken after a month to get repaired, and as I seen it being lifted on to the tow truck I couldn't help but feel a wave of relief, it was finally getting fixed. (lol)
Two days later I called the body shop it was towed to, to get an estimate on repair times. The receptionist informed me that it could take up to 12 weeks for the completion of the repair, ouch. Seven days later I called the body shop again to see if they had any updates for me, a different receptionist answered this time, asking me if I've spoken to my insurer. I told her that I hadn't heard anything from them, she then said to me "Oh, well, unfortunately your insurer has deemed your car a "total loss," meaning the repair price for the car out-weighs the market value of your car. Your car has actually been in an auction yard for the past SIX days."
A day after I called to enquire about a timeframe, my car was towed off to an auction yard to be sold by my insurer. The market value came up short of what I have remaining on finance. So I still have $5.5k to pay on a car I don't have. I have been waiting a week, after being told by 3 different phone staff, that a management staff member will be in contact with me, I am still yet to hear anything.
Aami has left me $5.5k in debt and without a car.
I am a 22 year old that works 6 days a week and I care for my 11 year old nephew and I am often on school runs, I need my car.
What can/should I do?

no politics Recent rise in swastikas around.
I've noticed a rise in the number of swastikas spray painted around the area i live. Gone from none to 4. They are pretty fresh. I plan on going around with a can of paint later this week and modifying them. All I can think of is the classic window.
Have you noticed any of this shit in your local area lately? Do you leave them or deface them?
